Introduction

The College of Media & Arts offers degree programs of Bachelor of Computer Arts (BCA 4-Year), Bachelor of Science in TV & Film Production (BS TV &Film 4-Year) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA 4-Year), with the following specializations in Animation & Multimedia, Graphic Design, Media Production, Drawing & Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Media Management, Media Journalism, Direction & Production. All degree programs are offered at the PAF City Campus in morning timings.

• Upon completion of the program students would have the capacity to:

• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and media production team members in various electronic formats using oral, visual and written methods.

• Identify the features of distribution media such as the internet, visual art forms and their application in media & art projects.

• Describe the phase of the media & art production cycle, from the initial planning stages to the final delivery of a professional product.

• Describe the technological constrains associated with the software, hardware, canvas, paints & brushes used in a broad range of visual art & media projects.

• Analyze media & art specific production features in selecting appropriate products to accomplish a specified project goals.

• Apply the principle of graphic design, fine arts, virtual reality, visual arts, information design and usability design in the generation of media & art projects.

• Prepare active and interactive media content with graphics, animation, sound and digital video using contemporary multimedia authoring softwares.

• To be master in the Still & Life Drawing using various mediums of sketching and arts for applying them in real life concepts and gestures.

• Design a professional electronic or traditional portfolio that demonstrates writing and design competency in variety of media, launching digital print documents (PDF), web, CD-RM, digital video, 2D and 3D graphics, and in traditional art form.

• To teaches students with a focus to give them opportunity to develop the necessary foundation skills, master the tools and processes, and nurture their artistry and creative vision.

• Let students will work alongside experienced professionals and undergo standard production experiences in the classroom that reflect industry needs and current industry trends.

• Enrich all aspects of teaching and learning through the innovative use of Arts techniques and communication technology.

Art is a high growth field. It’s a several hundred billion dollar industry worldwide. Basic training is the same all over the world. Formal training is required to groom all talent; art is no exception.  Media, Art & design is part of all items, processes & presentations. With growth of civilized society; new interrelated work environment, expertise & specialties have emerged. This requires interrelated competencies to match efficiencies. Considering the pace of industrial progress in Pakistan, a steady increase in requirement of media & art proficient workforce is required.

Bachelor of Computer Arts offers a comprehensive coverage of basic principles of arts, design and multimedia for the final artistic productions. It offers specialization in Graphic Design, Media Production and Animation & Multimedia. 

Fine Arts

Bachelor of Fine Arts prepares students to navigate and prosper in rapidly expanding fields of arts which include painting and design, sculpture, printmaking etc. The program is defined as a way for all types of pictorial communication. 

TV & Film

Bachelor of Science in TV & Film prepares students to navigate and prosper in rapidly expanding fields of various media productions which include film, digital video production, computer arts etc. The program capitalizes on its ready access to various media organizations, production facilities and practical know how and shared talents of recognized experts in this field.
