Libraries
In academic institutions, faculty and library play an equally important role in educating students. Libraries are instrumental in the development of both student and faculty. Separate libraries at the PAF Korangi Creek Campus and City Campus support this crucial role of faculty and student development. Within a short period of time, the Institute has built an impressive collection of books in Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Computer Science and Multimedia fields.
PAF-KIET has well-established and organized airconditioned libraries having a covered area of 3500 sq.ft. The two libraries have a large collection of over twelve thousand books of the latest editions on Engineering, Computer Science and Management Science.
A separate, well furnished, decorated and spacious airconditioned ‘Reading Room’ is also a part of library. It has a capacity of more than hundred students having separate carrels, which provide a congenial environment for self-study. PC terminals are available for the students where they have online access to thousands of journals in Digital Library. Over 50 journals and magazines of international repute are available for research and reference along with several English and Urdu newspapers. The Institute subscribes to the digital libraries of IEEE, ACM and link to HEC subscribed libraries containing thousands of journals and magazines.
The library users benefit from the availability of online access to journals in various Digital Libraries through PC terminals, internet access for research, vast collection of CDs and DVD's on various subjects and large air-conditioned reading rooms having separate carrels for self-study.
The libraries have archiving and indexing service for important articles and news items of the Financial Times of London.
The Library Information System allows, both students and faculty, online search for available library resources on various criteria and this system effectively manages the issue/receipt and acquisition of library items i.e. books and magazines.
The transportation system consists of a large fleet of coaches plying from different city areas to and from the PAF Korangi Creek Campus. The transport facility for the PAF Korangi Creek Campus is managed with special emphasis on comfort, safety and punctuality. The transport facility is available to students at highly affordable rates on no-profit-no-loss basis. Both PAF Korangi Creek Campus and City Campus are also accessible through a number of public transport routes

These facilities have really helped the institute to facilitate the student in a better way. This saves student’s time and allows them to organize themselves accordingly. Students have also much appreciated these facilities. In June 2000, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Educational Foundation (PEF) agreed to collaborate for the establishment of a high quality educational institution at PAF, Korangi Creek. The objective of this institution is to contribute to the development of university level education in Pakistan.
